The story of the Bible is about God, His creation, the fall and rebellion of man, redemptive work to restore the relationship between God and man, and our complete restoration. This is because it was “in the beginning,” and it is all about God’s story.
We are thrilled about our second part of the summer Bible series on Genesis at City Life Houston. Every summer, we study specific books of the Bible to help our members and visitors: 1. Love God’s Word; 2. How to study Bible; and, 3. Deepen your relationship with God.
Our goal for this summer is to help reinforce your understanding of this important book of the Bible through our Sunday service, City Life Groups, and the CLC Starter devotional blog. Please join us as we fully dive into the world of Genesis, examining the historical and cultural context, the deeper meaning of the text, and how this ancient book is very much relevant to us today.
The book of Genesis offers solace, guidance, and inspiration in a world of uncertainty. The timeless message reminds us of our need for spiritual growth, the importance of our relationships (God and men), and the profound significance of our choices. These stories of Genesis and eternal truths in the Bible speak to the human experience, inviting us to discover our purpose, and a more profound connection with our God and one another.
