I. The Word: Romans 13:11

11Do this, knowing the time, that it is already the hour for you to awaken from sleep; for now salvation is nearer to us than when we believed.

II. Reflection Questions:

1. What is the words, “Do this…” commanding us to do?

2. What does “knowing the time” mean? Historically? Literally? Spiritually? Biblically?

3. Think about your morning routine when you wake up…what do you do or not do? Why and how do you do it? And most importantly, What does this metaphor mean for the follower of Jesus?

This was a fun chapter to study and learn more about, and also a really challenging chapter to have to talk publicly about. I hope you have humility and appropriate fear as you read and think about these verses in chapter 13.

My goal was to provide you with something to listen to or watch while you do the mundane in life (drive, dishes, mow the lawn, etc.)
