I. The Word: Romans 4:13-15

13For the promise to Abraham or to his descendants that he would be heir of the world was not through the Law, but through the righteousness of faith. 14For if those who are of the Law are heirs, faith is made void and the promise is nullified; 15for the Law brings about wrath, but where there is no law, there also is no violation.

II. Reflection Questions:

1. Where and when did God promise Abraham that he would be heir of the world? What does that even mean?

2. What does verse 14 do to our identity? Namely, how and what we identify ourselves with?

3. Compare and contrast these 3 verses with Genesis chapter 3 (story of the fall of man). What are the implications?
