I. The Word: Luke 1:1-4

1Inasmuch as many have undertaken to compile an account of the things accomplished among us, 2just as they were handed down to us by those who from the beginning were eyewitnesses and servants of the word, 3it seemed fitting for me as well, having investigated everything carefully from the beginning, to write it out for you in consecutive order, most excellent Theophilus; 4so that you may know the exact truth about the things you have been taught.

II. Reflection Questions:

1. What do you believe about the Bible? Is it authoritative or not? Is it true or not?

2. What do you believe about the human-ness of Jesus? Was He really God, or just a godly man…maybe the most godly man ever?

3. What do you believe about Christmas? The answer to the above two questions prepares you for this one. Everything we know about the Gospel originates from this book called the Bible, therefore its accuracy and trustworthiness is paramount.

I wish I had some great and lofty detailed answers for the reflection questions, but I do not. I do, however, have a great sermon on the topic from my boy Pastor Timothy Keller! Click here to listen to his responses to the reflection questions above.
